Our Mission- To show the love of Jesus to those affected by AIDS by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support.

The Dwelling Place (formally the Nehemiah Project) is an abandoned hospital building in Newton, Kansas. New Jerusalem Missions has owned this building since 1994, but God has not said to begin restoring it until recently. The body of Christ has mobilized and unified toward the common goal of winning the lost through The Dwelling Place. When finished, the building will be home and school to HIV/AIDS Short Course students (1st floor), and a hospice for AIDS patients with guest rooms for their visitors (2nd floor).   Guest rooms and more dormitory rooms will be located on the (3rd floor), we want to extend hospitality to the friends and family of those living in our facility. Youth groups , college students, doctors, laborers (skilled and unskilled) are working together to see that the ruins are restored.

We are already seeing the body of Christ cross denominational barriers to see the ruins restored. Like in the book of Nehemiah, each group taking a section of the wall to rebuild. And God is granting them success. Not only success in restoring the ruins of a building, but the lives of those involved.  Jesus is the hope for this epidemic.

If you, or a group from your community, are interested in being a part of rebuilding the ruins
contact us for details.
